The signature pad signature pad “Omega” is the advanced version of our best seller device “Sigma“. This product “Made in Germany” is fully developed and fabricated by signotec with an exceptional price/performance ratio. As the product dimensions of 180 x 191 x 15 mm it is an extremely compact with a amazing and attractive design. This device allows you to set clear trends at your POS.
The powerful signature pad captivates with a flat surface without edges between sensor and housing. The design is user-friendly and comfortable for signing. The feeling of signing with the pen and sensor is similar to that writing on paper. Plus, the rounded sides allow the heel of the hand to transition smoothly from signature tablet to table, without disrupting the signing process. The pen has same size and feels of a ballpoint pen and does not require any external electric supply to work. The pen replacement is not expensive at all and the best part is that the device can used even if the pen is lost.
The Omega frame is customisable in any colour and can even be imprinted with the company logo to meet the customers’ demands.
Data transmission from pad to PC is secured, preventing biometric characteristics from being intercepted. Developing the electronics, firmware, driver and applications ourselves allows for optimal coordination of hardware and software.
The most noticeable factor in Omega is the unique 10 freely programmable memory spaces on the pad where recurring content can be permanently stored. This factor gives speed benefit for the graphics layout as these are not repeatedly loaded onto the pad but instead simply retrieved. This space in the device can be used for slide shows and also, you can store the graphics permanent in it. You can determine the display sequence and duration. The slide show runs independently, without connection to the software. Simply plug into a USB port and you’re ready.
The Sigma signature pad can optionally be supplied with an FTDI chip. This chip converts the USB signal into a virtual COM signal, so that the device can be used in virtual environments, such as Remote Desktop (RDP) or Citrix.
The mode can not be changed from USB to vCOM or vice versa.

The signotec pads (Omega firmware 1.25 & Sigma 1.16) have the highest security mechanisms. This will allow a complete chain of evidence in dispute. Depending on the integration, different techniques are used:
- PDF documents can be signed inside the pad and not in the insecure environment of the PC.
- The biometrics from the signature pad can be RSA-encrypted inside the pad and not in the insecure environment of the PC.
- The pad LCD-screen content with the signature can be RSA-signed inside the pad.
- Each pad has a separate and unique RSA certificate from delivery.
- Saving from custom RSA-certificates inside the pad.
- The pad can generate an RSA certificate inside.
- Supported schemes are RSA PKCS # 1 v1.5 (with or without the hash OID), PKCS # 1 v2.1
- Certificates can be certified by a Root Authority.
- Supported hash algorithms are SHA-1, SHA-256 and SHA-512.
